If you want to take a break from a Snapchat group, it’s best to disable it.

Snapchat’s Do Not Disturb mode allows you to select as many users as you want to use. If someone is harassing you on the app, block them or report them to Snapchat. Keeping Snapchat notifications muted can reduce distractions and encourage you to spend more time on the things you care about. To silence snapchat notifications, go to your settings and under notifications, select “Do Not Disturb.” Because blocked and unfriended users are completely hidden from view, tracking their movements becomes more difficult. Those who have suspended their Snapchat accounts may still contact you, but you will not receive any notifications of their absence. When you go to the settings section of your profile, look for the ‘Notifications’ menu. Under this private setting, the user can silence noisier groups without explaining themselves. Someone may wonder if their group has been silenced after being muted on Snapchat. To stop notifications for a specific Snapchat group, open the app and navigate to the ‘Chat’ menu by swiping right. Take some time out of your social circle if you want to. The groups tend to be active during the day, even if they are not always at work. There are numerous reasons why you might want to mute a Snapchat group. In order to receive notifications again, follow the same steps and select ‘All Messages.’ Notifications from other Snapchat conversations will still appear, but no one from that silenced group will. At the bottom, near the bottom of the page, click ‘Chat Settings,’ and then on the next screen, select ‘ Message Notifications.’ A recording will be played before you select Silent.
